The literal meaning of environment is the environment around us in which we breathe. At present, along with water, air, sand, soil, etc., trees, plants, crops, insects, etc. are all being affected by environmental pollution. Amidst many measures, Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5 June by the United Nations and the World Health Organization, but environmental pollution is not decreasing.

Today our biggest problem is that the environment in which we live is getting polluted. The entire environment is getting polluted due to the waste from big and small factories, increasing radioactivity from nuclear plants, sewage from cities and towns, and mechanical means of transport. Gas, smoke, haze, ear-splitting noises, etc. are also the causes of environmental pollution. Unlimited growth of population is another reason for increasing pollution. Farms and forests are being destroyed for industrialization, urbanization transport facilities, etc. This also disturbs the balance of the environment.

Due to this, the desert in Rajasthan is increasing. The biggest side effect of increasing environmental pollution is on human civilization, which can cause its destruction in the future. The natural environment is getting destroyed due to the increase in the temperature of the earth and the untimely change of seasons.
