There may be differences in our customs, rituals, lifestyle, and clothing, but the feeling of unity is visible in every aspect of our political and ideological outlook. Thus the feeling of unity in diversity is the main characteristic of our nation. This national unity makes a powerful and developed nation.

Need for National Unity and Integrity

It is often seen that when our country is attacked by foreign or external enemies, a wave of unity rises in the entire country, but after this, the unity of the country is damaged due to various reasons like internal differences, regionalism, casteism, communalism, and terrorism. Therefore, national unity and integrity are very important for the stability of democracy, protection of freedom, and all-round development of the nation.

Cultural heritage of national unity and integrity

National unity and integrity have existed as a cultural heritage in our country since ancient times. If we look at the historical background, there were many republics in India in ancient times and due to geographical, religious, and cultural reasons, there was cooperation and unity among them, and due to this unity, those republics were invincible.
