School is such a temple of Saraswati, in which the intellectual, mental, and physical development of children takes place. The aim of present education is- the all-round development of the child. Various competitions on subjects like art, music, sports, conversation, etc. keep going on in the school throughout the year. Annual functions are organized in the school to reward the students selected in these competitions and to develop social qualities in the students. The annual function program is celebrated every year in our school. Co-curricular activities are organized in the school for the all-round development of children.
Importance of Annual Function
Our school organizes some festivals every year. One of these festivals is celebrated as an Annual Function. Many types of programs are organized in our school. Sometimes inter-class competitions, debates, poetry recitation, and antakshari programs are organized, and sometimes social productive work and social service camps are organized. The details of all those educational works come out in a holistic manner only on the Annual Function. From this point of view, the Annual Function of our school has special importance. It is organized with great pomp every year in almost all schools.
Various programs of annual function
The annual function of our school is celebrated on 26th January. A week before this, the school is cleaned, the playgrounds are arranged and a big function is organized in one corner. A high stage is made on one side and seating arrangements are made for tourists and spectators in front. Loudspeakers and lights etc. are arranged on the stage. No minister of the state is the chief guest at the annual function of our school. This time the Sports Minister was the chief guest.
The function started with Saraswati Vandana at around 3:00 pm. After this, the students presented the welcome song. Then the Principal welcomed the President and the Chief Guests by garlanding them. The senior Hindi teacher read the welcome letter. After that, the students first gave the final performance of the sports exercise Mallakhamb. Then a short play was presented on the stage and patriotic songs were sung. After various programs, the Principal read the annual progress report of the school and also threw light on the future plans for the proper development of the school.
Prize distribution
After the progress report, the honorable chief guest, the sports minister, gave a speech. In his meaningful speech, he motivated the students to perform their duties and build character and asked them to take a pledge to become good citizens. After the speech, a prize distribution ceremony was organized. In this, the students who got first and second place in various inter-class competitions, debates, antakshari, poetry recitations, etc. were awarded by the chief guest. In the end, the principal expressed his gratitude and declared the annual function closed. Sweets were distributed to the students on behalf of some parents.
